Rooo Valley is so much more than just the services we provide.

We believe that comfort, cleanliness, love, safety, and exercise form the foundation of a great kennel stay, and we provide all of that and more at Rooo Valley. We do not take lightly the trust you place in us when you leave your best friend in our care. This is the Rooo Valley difference.
Even though one of the primary goals of our organization is to place greyhounds into homes, a larger mission also drives us -- we want to help you have a better relationship with your dog, regardless of the breed.
Through educational programs, through enrichment activities and events, and through our love and knowledge of dogs, we want to provide a destination for you and your best friend where you can meet other dog lovers, have fun with your dog, and feel safe and secure. We have affiliations with vets, trainers, groomers, and other pet care professionals who will work with us to bring you wonderful events and services throughout the year.
For a long time, our organization, Nittany Greyhounds, has had a dream of owning a kennel again. Not only because we need a place to house adoptable greyhounds, but also because we are crazy about dogs! All dogs... we all own dogs, in many cases, many other dogs, and we have seen a need in central Pennsylvania for a true dog environment. With the purchase of our 20-acre farmette, we can now provide the kind of place we would like to take our own dogs!
We want to be a resource for dog lovers and for the community-at-large. We have the knowledge and connections to do so, and now we have the space to be able to provide a fun and educational environment for dogs and their families.
Rooo Valley has no paid staff; we are all volunteers. We all own dogs, we all have experience with dogs, and we all love dogs. We know that those who affiliate with us, who join with us in adopting greyhounds, or who just bring their dogs out for off-leash play in our safe environment, love their canines as much as we do. We all want the same thing, and at Rooo Valley, we're going to try to provide it as best we can.
Everything we do here is dedicated to the care, socialization, adoption, and education of dogs and their people. Join with us today!
You can be a volunteer, you can become a member of our dog park, attend one of our events, donate financially to our non-profit cause (totally tax-deductible), you can adopt a greyhound of course, or you can use our boarding facility. With your help, we can have one of the finest dog activity centers in the country!
